lokus is an Ankara-based design studio founded in 2022 by four entrepreneurial architects. The studio engages with design challenges across various fields, developing context-specific solutions and exploring new possibilities rooted in the local. Rather than defining context solely through the physical environment, lokus approaches it as a holistic structure shaped by physical, social, economic, and cultural layers. Each design problem is therefore considered within its unique conditions, and the design process evolves through an understanding of these multilayered relationships.

Working across a wide range of scales, from the urban context to industrial product design, the studio considers interdisciplinary collaboration an essential part of its design process. By integrating academic and intellectual knowledge with design practice, lokus approaches design as a continuous process of research and inquiry.
